Amazing Day Tour to Machu Picchu

What a day!  We started our day with the car hotel pick-up from our hotel in Urubamba to bring us to the train station in Ollytaytambo.  Then we went on a train ride in the mountains to the village of Machu Picchu where we went straight to lunch.  After that our guide walked us through the village to a bus stop to board for the narrow winding road up the mountain to reach the entrance of the citadel.  What a marvelous site this is - and we had perfect weather to take the among the most fantastic  pictures of my short life!  Then we did the trip in reverse, and in the evening they had a dance show in the train to entertain the travellers who no longer had views to admire from the windows to the action was taking place inside the train.  it was such an exhausting day that once I arrived at the hotel I fell asleep before we even turned the lights out.
