Social Unrest in Santa Cruz de la Sierra Bolivia

The timing of our trip to Santa Cruz de la Sierra was very bad!  There was a general strike by the residents of the city and several road blocks to prevent cars from driving in the city at many intersections.  Once we arrived at the hotel we could only explore a little bit by foot and did not get a chance to see much of the city because taxis and public transportation were not operating.
