Zanzibar, Tanzania = My First Trip to Africa


My first trip to Africa was to the island of Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania.  We stayed at the beautiful and historical Park Hyatt hotel which used to be the residence of the sultan of Oman; it was clear from the design that the hotel had Middle Eastern flavors.  The hotel was close to the city center but also right on the beach and had a swimming pool so it had a relaxing feeling and holiday style.
